On a humid Monday morning, 8 PAX rolled out of bed to join their brothers in a fast paced workout at the Lake Lynn Community Center.  We spent a glorious morning running around Lake Lynn.  Rather than pack fishing poles and a tackle box, we carried rocks to the lake.  Without a single complaint, each member of the PAX grabbed a rock and headed to the water.  Fortunately, most of the guys picked a sensible rock … a traveling rock … with the exception of Candlestick … who, for the love of God, picked a large rock to cart with him in his journey.

Warm-Up:

  • Side Straddle Hop – 25x
  • Good mornings – 10x
  • Imperial Walkers – 25x

The Thang:

  • Ran to the rock pile to select a traveling rock.
  • As we ran to the lake, we stopped numerous times to perform:
    • Merkins
    • Plank Jacks
    • Curls, Triceps extensions, Bent-over rows, Overhead presses
  • Once at the lake, we stopped every minute to perform:
    • More merkins … trying to get to our daily goal of 200
    • Niplers
    • Side straddle hops
    • Windmills
    • Irkens
    • Dirkens
    • Curls, Triceps extensions, Bent-over rows, Overhead presses
  • We conducted several Indian runs (rocks over our heads, rocks held out in front, weave)
  • We stopped at benches to conduct dips
  • Ran back to the parking lot.
  • Based on Watson’s FitBit, we covered 2.37 miles during the workout.  I believe we burned off enough calories to have another piece of the Mother’s Day cake.

Mary:

  • World War II’s – 10x
  • American Hammers – 30x
