It cannot be seen, cannot be felt,
Cannot be heard, cannot be smelt,
It lies behind stars and under hills,
And empty holes it fills,
It comes first and follows after,
Ends life, kills laughter.

Gollum

With a park full of darkness and the PAX light on headlamps, 12 of us took a slow jog down Sisyphus.

Aside from a few cracks, wet leaves, pine cones, sticks, snakes and gravel,
Sisyphus is actually pretty smooth running. Except for this one really nasty spot where a tree root pushes the asphalt up like an ankle grabbing speed bump. That’s where one of our
PAX took a nasty fall and had to leave early with a tweaked back. Hope you recover quickly!

Make it to the bottom and circle up for:

  • Imperial Walkers
  • Mountain Climbers
  • Windmill

Grab a rock and come back for a Sisyphus suicide:

  • with your rock, run up to the first corner, do 20 merkins, run back down. Squat hold until all arrive
  • with your rock, run up to the bench, do 15 merkins, run back down. Squats with your rock until all arrive
  • with your rock, run up to the yellow pole, do 10 merkins, run back down. The first person down the hill (Nemo) calls out plank exercises until all arrive

Recover with some rock abs work:

  • LBCs with your rock
  • Low slow flutter with your rock
  • 6-in leg hold with your rock – 10 count around the circle

Arm stuff with your rock:

  • curls
  • tricep extensions
  • squat to press

Gently return your rock and jog back to base of Sisyphus.

  • Bear crawl up to the man-hole cover
  • Lunge walk to the first corner
  • Backwards run up the curvy part. That hurt.
  • Jog to the top of the hill

  • plank exercises
  • plank jacks
  • low plank hold
  • low plank plank jacks

To the park benches for:

  • dips
  • left right stepup
  • irkins

Mary

  • Freddie Mercury
  • Boat-Canoe
  • 6-in leg hold
  • Have a nice day

Announcements/requests

Maize took us out

Thanks everyone for coming out today and special thanks to Cotton for being the only one to bring a headlamp. I don’t think this was his first time on the hill.

Hope you enjoyed it!
