Now I’m only twenty six, feelin’ more like forty three. My hairline’s disappearing, and I never get ID’d. My clothes are out of fashion, no I’m not cool anymore. In the bed by ten o’clock each night, and up at half-past four. Still I go down to that college town when the Tigers* play at home. I drink keg beer from a trash can til the whole damn thing is gone. Then I look at all those college girls so innocent and young, and I just check ’em out, and say “Damn… I wish I was twenty one.” – Corey Smith
What better way to start off your week than to tackle the gloom with your fellow PAX on a rather unseasonably brisk Monday morning at North Hills? YHC hopes that’s what the 10 brave souls who posted this AM were thinking. No FNGs (seriously, what FNG would show up on a Monday when Raleigh is experiencing record lows…) so no disclaimer given. Off we went.

MOLESKIN
YHC hadn’t been to NH in a long time, but I was quick to sign up to Q on my birthday a few months back. Little did I know how cold it would be this morning. So cold that apparently it scared Blue Crush from showing up to Q Eastbound & Down, bringing K Tribe and Beaver (I think. Could be wrong.) to NH (Jokes. Hope everything’s alright BC.).
I’d also forgotten just how dark it is at this AO. T-claps to the guys sporting headlamps. We might’ve been in a little trouble without those.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
- Congrats to all PAX who completed the GRT this weekend.
- Sign up to Q if you haven’t ever done so before, haven’t in a while, or are a frequent QIC. Either way, they’re needed at lots of AOs, particularly with the temps dropping.
PRAYER REQUESTS
- Keep all PAX and their families in your prayers, as there are lots of us struggling and needing support among us. You’d be hard-pressed to find a better group of guys to lean on in a time of need, so it’s paramount that we are there to be that support, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
- YHC has a friend in Chicago fighting her second bout of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma since college. She has just finished chemo again, and she also underwent a stem cell transplant. Please continue to send prayers her way for a speedy recovery and for her life to return to normalcy.
Thanks for the opportunity to lead Elsinore/Ron Burgundy. Always a pleasure.
