It was cold, slippery and wet….enough said 🙂

10 brave, or mentally challenged (depending upon your perspective) PAX, and another 0.182435 guest appearance, assembled at Gideon to kickoff the inaugural Old Testament challenge. Expecting to see snow on the ground instead of a sheet of ice, the best made plans were useless resulting in a 180 degree audible for this mornings festivities.

Circle up – grab a kettle bell – mosey to the dam and grab a rock if you don’t have a kettle bell – make your way up the dam(n) hill to the greenway – curls and squats with your coupon X 20.

Mosey along top of dam headed towards boat house – carefully go down the hill – split into 2 groups – group 1 run up hill and bear crawl down – group 2 hold your coupon above your head until group 1 returns – switch. Fortunately no one was hurt but it was touch and go for a moment – Vila did the bear “slide” crawl straight down the path; meanwhile, Java tried his best Pete Rose imitation as his meticulously balanced ruck, consisting of a free floating kettle bell inside of a backpack, shifted position – for fear of getting knocked in the head by a ball of iron (P-tang), Java let go and slid semi face first down the hill -bronze metal in the XYZ nobody cares winter games… Other notable winter observations – when you rest an icy rock on top of your stocking cap covered head, 9 times out of 10, when you lift the rock back over your head, your stocking cap will be attached – see Pepe and Joule..

After completion of that nonsense, we moved onto the shelter by the bathrooms. There we did – irkins X 20; dirkins X 10; single leg squat X 20 per leg; coupon curls X 20.

Mosey to the double bars – group 1 – down unders X 10; group 2 – merkins X 10; switch

Mosey up the hill to the playground – the Q searching for something to do and running out of audibles – group 1 – down under on the swings X 10; group 2 – overhead coupon press X 10; switch – since there were only 4 swings, PAX ended up doing 2 sets of coupon press. Next set – put feet in swings, in plank position, and pull knees to chest X 15 – switch with group 2 – other group does squats with coupon.

Running late on time – leave the playground and make our way back to the dam. Runner on the right….oh, actually guest appearance by Man Ram who decided to run to Shelly Lake solo. Newly formed PAX of 10 proceed down the hill – walk or slide – dealers choice – return your rock. Back to the parking lot to wrap up.

No time for mary. COT – prayers for Orwell and all those unspoken.
