An overnight ice storm hit Raleigh on Monday, February 15th. However, three BRAVE men woke up early, dressed in many layers, de-iced their cars, and took to the icy streets to celebrate the one year anniversary of Kickstarter at Lake Lynn Community Center. (Actually, I am not sure if the men were brave or foolish for driving on icy roads in the dark.)
Warm-up: Since we only had three guys, we could not “circle up”. So, instead, we decided to “triangle up”.
- Side Straddle Hop – x25
- Good Mornings – x10
- Run up the hill and return to triangle formation.
- Sir Fozio Arm Circles – x12 forward, x12 backward
- Windmills – x15
- Run up the hill and return to the triangle formation
- Sumo Squats – x15
- Hillbillies – x15
Paint the lines: Since the parking lot was icy, we ran on the grass in front of the Community Center.
- Run to the first cone, side shuffle, run backwards, do one Merkin. At the next cone, drop and do two Merkins, run to the next cone, drop and do three Merkins … all the way down the line.
Suicides: Six Cones … each placed five yards apart
- First Round – 1/2 speed
- Second Round – Karaoke
- Third Round – Run backwards
- Fourth Round – Bear crawl to the cone, crab walk back to the start
To give our legs a break, we did 20 count LBCs and 20 count Homer to Marge
Sevens:
- Burpees on the grass by the Community Center
- Run to the hill
- When reaching the cones on the hill, drop and bear crawl to the top.
- At the top of the hill, star jumps.
- Crawl Bear down the hill to the cones
- Run to the starting line.
To give our legs a break, we did 20 count LBCs and 15 count Box Cutters.
