16 F3 Men posted to Meredith College this morning for the third edition of our Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure team. Despite a later start and a temp around 80 with solid humidity, F3 crushed it. Every member of our squad finished in less than 30 minutes, including nine year old Mayday. Pepe led the way in sixth place overall out of more than 1,200 runners. Tongue & Groove was on his heels, finishing ninth. While not officially on the team and definitely a “Kotter”, Molasses was the third overall finisher. There were great finishes all around, including Pergo coming in ahead of his goal time, the 45-49 age group being dominated by Life Alert, Fazio, Layover, and Screech, and Larry David completing his third ever race – just behind Mayday.
YHC’s M is a survivor for five years plus and so this race is always an important event for me. She is one of the lucky ones. Many around COT had stories of family and friends afflicted by breast cancer. Thanks to F3 for supporting this important cause and the work done by the Komen Foundation.

Prayers for T&G’s M and father-in-law, and for YHC’s paralegal and her father.
Tclaps all around to the Pax. F3 represented very well and the support for one another was great to see, as always.
Swirly gets the fashion award for his shout-out to Sunshine, who is one of our best runners but currently on the IR.
It is great to see some black jerseys in a sea of pink.
Tclaps to Fazio for being a fixture at this race. It’s always good to have him out there pushing the rest of us.
