A perfect 55 degrees sans humidity and sunny this AM. 15 PAX – 5 of which paid homage to Tanktop Thursday. The rest missed out. Neither site Q decided to show up this morning. Just felt like pointing that out. We had fun. We had interesting conversations. We worked hard.

COT

  • Count-o-rama: 15 PAX – 2 RESPECT, 2 hate, 11 Meh
  • Name-o-rama: still 15, no FNGs
  • Announcements: step up to Q. Feel free to split a Q with someone if you want to ease into it. That’s how I started Q’ing, and look at me now! I’m a Q machine!
  • Prayer requests: Banjo’s family as they mourn the passing of his uncle, Gut’s cousins who both are fighting cancer, Saban and M.Saban traveling abroad, Ollie’s Anakin Skywalker (Ollie…I am your father!) and a quick recovery – both physically and mentally (stress, depression, coping, etc.), and I feel like I’m forgetting one. Thankfully, God knows what’s up.

NMS

  • The most important part of a Q is _________?
  • The Moleskin
  • Shut In started the morning strong, invoking the spirit of Burt upon his arrival. I’d tell you what he said, but as is usually true with the things coming out of Burt’s mouth, it was not FCC friendly
  • It got a good laugh out of me, though
  • Hermes reflected that Shut In doesn’t have the same Je ne sais quoi as Burt
  • To be fair, it’s really hard to pull it off. Burt just so happens to be a pro
  • Are you surprised I know how to spell je ne sais quoi? I’m a man of manly talents (plus I took waaaay too many french classes in H.S. and college many, many years ago)
  • A jack of all trades, master of all of ’em.
  • Let me tell you something…Sky Blue is deceptively fast. He absolutely smoked me on the AYG sprints. It probably helps that he has a 12-foot stride
  • Shutty was spitting fire all morning. I’m strarting to wonder if he and Burt have been hanging out behind my back.
  • Did y’all go to F3 Dads without me? DID YOU?!?
  • Grease showed up a few minutes late and I completely forgot to do penalty burpees. Next time…
  • Hermes started a wonderful conversation about the best condiments to use for spicing up a placenta.
  • It was that kind of morning.
  • Can’t go wrong with ketchup. BBQ is ok, but it has a tendency to mask the placenta flavor if you use too much. Hermes suggested Worcestershire sauce. Franklin brought up honey mustard and everyone scoffed. Terrible idea, bro.
  • Next came the discussion on the best way to prepare it. Some like it raw, rolled up in rice paper like sushi with some cucumber and eel sauce. Others like it grilled, because Merica. I heard someone mention his favorite was pan-fried, which makes sense – get a nice caramelization on it. I think broiled is the way to go, though. You want it crispy on the outside.
  • This is absolutely disgusting.
  • Katniss was driving like a maniac. Franklin was scared for Biner’s life.
  • Katniss also has perfected the art of getting as little air as possible on a jump squat. Like, you’d be hard pressed to get 3 sheets of printer paper between his feet and the ground. It’s incredible!
  • Katniss is my dude. I only make fun of the people I love. Always remember that.
  • His excuse? “White men can’t jump.”
  • Touche
  • Banjo and Ripper decided to skip out on their own site. For shame!
  • Quick heads up…I won’t be able to make it to DZ tomorrow. I’ll be busy making a marinade for the aforementioned placenta
  • I’m planning to take a break when it comes to picking up the Q responsibilities for a little bit while I adjust to fatherhood.
  • Shutty’s feigned concern for how “rusty” I’d be in my first Q back was well done. Just like how I like my placenta.
  • Too much placenta talk? Is anyone getting uncomfortable? Ripper, are you still reading?
  • I legitimately spaced it on Sputnik’s name this morning (every possible ounce of pun intended!!!!)
  • Big shout to my Tanktop Thursday supporters: Sputnik, McCants, Hermes, Saban, and YHC. I’d give you a pat on the back, but I don’t think I could reach because these python’s are too swole
  • My new favorite excercise…the Harambe. Basically, get a coupon and then gorilla hop around while dodging bullets. Fantastic.

I should start working now. It was an honor to lead. CUITG.
