A calm and warm (not steamy) morning brought 24 PAX out to Lourdes.  Shovel Flag planted YHC circled up for a disclaimer for the FNG that decided to join the battle.  We went into world’s greatest stretch, inchworm and a few plank holds (regular, diamond, praying monk).  Up and jog to the small parking lot where everyone picked a white parking line.  Feet together  – front to back jumps x 20, side to side x 20, alternating x 20.  down on the concrete footer at each space.  15 standard merkins, 15 left hand on asphalt/ right hand on footer, 15 switch.

The Thang

Run up to the church lot, bear crawl up, lunge up the two inclines.  At top we held the low plank hold while YHC asked the new guy for a 10 count – which was actually about 15-17 seconds at his pace.  (This helped with his new handle.  see below).

Two teams…12 each side.

each person takes a turn sprinting the full length of the parking lot and back while those left behind cycle through 10 burpees, 10 prisoner squats, 10 LBCs.  At the end we had a losing team and their punishment was for the entire 24 Pax to do 15 burpees.  Great job on that one.  We then went through a 3 part pyramid: LBC, Squats, Merkins 5,10,15,20,15,10,5.

Last round of team dash competition.  same thing, but cycle through low slow flutter, american hammer, WWII situps (15 of each).

at the end we returned to the grass and had Bubbles take over for Merry.

Dive bombers x 15, LBC x 50 and end with Guantanamo.  Done

COT

Name ‘o’ rama – we discovered Gnobby’s brother from Denver joined us and was the infamous “slow count”.  We all concluded he just named himself.  Welcome FNG Slow Count.

words were spoken about slowing down and finding ourselves in the quiet, the stillness.  Life has a way of overtaking us and running over us.  We need to breath and reset to be strong for those we encounter.

awesome outro prayer by Rain Man.
