YHC was pumped to lead and serve at Dawn Patrol, to the point of bringing props. I’ll never be as awesome as Screech, but hey you gotta start somewhere. 13 PAX came out to see what was in store on a pretty darn cold Thursday morning in the gloom…
Warm Up
The PAX needed no disclaimer so we pushed off into the low surf and jogged a few parking lot laps to get the blood flowing. Then, we banged out a few exercises:
- SSH x 20
- Std. Merkin x 20
- Good Morning x 20
- Sir Fazio Arm Circles x10/x10
- Prayer Squat x 20
There was other good stuff in there, but YHC is so delinquent on this BB, he’s forgotten.
Thang
From the shallow shelf of the parking lot, we paddled out to the deep water (a.k.a. the soccer field). YHC had arrived early and placed an orange cone in the center of the field. The 13 PAX broke into semi-even groups of 3-4, and spread out to the 4 corners of the field. YHC called out an exercise, and each group together performed 10 reps, then ran to the cone in the center, vectoring 90 degrees to the right and proceeding to the next corner. All the way around = 1.
- Round 1 – Standard Merkins
- Round 2 – Star Jumps
- Randomly inserted some LBCs here x20
- Round 3 – Dying Cockroaches
- Randomly inserted some Low Slow Flutter here x20
- Round 4 – Prisoner Squats
The PAX lined up on one end of the field, facing the center. Beginning at the line, do x5 of an exercise, sprint to the cone and do x10 of exercise. Sprint back to start line and perform x15, then run to the far end of the field and perform x20 reps:
- Round 1 – Side Shuffle Hops
- Round 2 – Standard Merkins
- Round 3 – LBCs
- Round 4 – Squat Jumps
