11 PAX chose to #startyourweekright at Zero Hour. YHC tried to throw a heavy workout at the PAX and they graciously withheld the mumble chatter until the last exercise, which in all honesty, probably was deserving of some mumble chatter.
Warmup:
- The usual Zero Hour starter lap
- IW (10), Windmill (10), SSH (10), Good morning (10)
Thang 1:
- Partner Up and split into 2 groups: Group 1 did 4 corners on the tennis court (10 sumo squat jumps then bear crawl to 10 star jumps then crab walk) AMRAP
- Group 2 had to knockout 50 pull ups between the partners. While one did pull ups the other did prison squats. Flapjack as often as needed but 15 merkins came with every flapjack.
- Once all of group 2 got their 50 in, switch with group 1.
- At concrete stairs, all partners from above did a total of 120 crunchy frogs. While one did crunchy frogs the other did dips. Flapjack as often as needed but 20 urkins came with every flapjack.
Thang 2:
- Light pole suicides on back lot: sprint out and back pedal home for 3 poles.
- Full length: 5 diamond merkins at 1st pole, 5 clap merkins at last pole, 5 hand release merkins at all poles in between. (this turned out to be a little worse than expected….which lead to)
- Full length 11’s: Burpees and high knee jumps, starting with 10 burpees. (This is when the first sign of rumblings were initiated by Au Pair and shortly thereafter the mumble chatter proceeded to spread amongst the PAX.) We were cutting it close on time…it’s safe to say the PAX made it to the 5/6 round.
Mary: YHC attempted to stay hip with the school kids on the first day and all, so we did Mary popcorn style. Per Common Core Reading Standards- the popcorn method is utilized when a passage is read aloud, first by an active, engaged student. When said student has had their fill, they have the freedom to chose whoever they would like to read next….and the process continues
- YHC started with 25 box cutters-pass to Munson
- 30 WWII situps-pass to Au Pair
- 2 ab shredding high slow flutters-pass to Fungo
- Some kind of superman hold that was kinda passed back to Au Pair since he got to sing lead vocals for the duration of the hold. YHC greatly appreciated this exercise. 8.5 for creativity, 7.5 for sound quality, 9 for stage presence-pass to TARP
- 10 cannon balls to take us home.
