Ever since my first post to #FieldOfDreams I’ve seen this hillside perfect for sprints. Thus my inspiration for this mornings #LEGDAY. 15 pax were ready and willing.
YHC was never a Boy Scout so when, not one but, TWO FNGs rolled up I knew I was screwed having not prepared very well for the disclaimer. And that’s an understatement. #NailedIt! Now lets work!
Warmup
Big circle jog around both lower parking lots. Today’s PAX numbers were so big we couldn’t use the baseball! Way to rise out of the #fartsack gentlemen!
- Good Mornings IC x 15
- Emperial Walkers (marches? whatever. shut up) IC x 10 – had to cut the chatter off
- SSH + Little Mans IC x 20
- Slow Count Sumo Squats IC x 20
- Paint the Lines
- Quick steps on the curb IC x 20
Some seemed upset with my IC pace but I’m pretty sure I nailed it.
The Thang
- 1s and 2s partner up for some hill sprints
- 1s Sprint the Hill
- 2s Quarter Jump Squats
- Flapjack and Repeato increasing up to 5 hill sprints (1 sprint, 2 sprints…5 sprints)
- Indian Run around the loop with 3 pain stations
- Stairs at baseball x 2
- ALR Stepups IC x 20
- Jump Lunges x 10 each leg OYO
- Hill sprints again with People’s Chair and up to 4 hill sprints
Banjo stepped up with his leadership to push the pax to all finish the last of the hill sprints together. Thanks for stepping up! Everyone was pushing hard as the chatter was tough with our mouths full of humidity. Lots of laundry to do today…
Next we move on to the TOCARP (Town of Cary Rock Pile, I like it Callahan!). Grab a rock for some biceps and triceps.
- Bicep Curls IC x 30
- 10 in squat position
- 10 regular
- 10 on tip toes
(Remember it’s a leg day gentlemen!)
- Tricep Extensions IC x 30 same thing
Standing Broadjump Burpees across the court and back. That hurt…
Mary
- LBCs IC x 10 (YHC was GASSED!)
- American Hammer 5 count around the circle (with a few resets. Some would blame the leadership others would just blame Katniss. You decide.)
COT
Two FNGs to welcome in! Reggae and Mr. Roboto, welcome fellas! See you out in the gloom again very soon!
Praises for Gut and Hurt Locker and their job interviews
Prayers for Callahan!

Final Thoughts
Speaking of legs I was going to call this work out Hillsong United since our legs were united in singing on those hill sprints but due to trademarks and such I thought I better not…
But the reason I wanted to name it that was one of their songs has these amazing lyrics that I want to use to encourage you guys with.
Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior
Oceans by Hillsong United
My prayer is that we put our trust in the Lord and push ourselves past our own preset barriers where nothing but our faith can lead us to succeed and through that we recognize it and strengthen our faith in God. We’ve strengthen our bodies now lets use them to strengthen others around us!
