Rain can be a sign of many things. In the heartland and Middle East, its life-bringing qualities are most often wanted and welcomed.  For sailors and the suit wearing classes of the cities, the rain is usually an omen for something dark and undesired.  So at 3:30 a.m., as YHC was woken by the rain pounding against the window, I was not sure what to expect.

And so as YHC drove along Oxford to where the Lourdes of Discipline meet, I came upon a giant tree laying across the road & blocking traffic.  Seeing that YHC’s last two Q’s had brought the police out, it was a chance to do something good, set things right again, all before the dawn had broken.

Disclaimer given, FNG (Fondue) welcomed, and we jumped right in it:

Naked Moleskin

In COT there were no announcements or prayer requests. Overall, it was a very low chatter morning.  It could be that in addition to lunge walks, sprints and moving a fallen tree, each PAX lifted 8000 pounds over their heads this morning (80 snatches & 80 squat presses x 50lbs). The quiet was the quiet after a storm, deeply satisfied, the sound of accomplishment. Super work today by all 13 PAX. Especially strong morning for FNG Fondu.

As always, honored and grateful to the PAX who trusted me with their morning. Cut Me Mick
