The Judge launches at 530. And the only sign of YHC at 530 was the maroon Tuckwagon. Otherwise, the PAX stood pondering the Qs whereabouts.

Most certainly, the Judge’s extroverted and wise-cracking site Q Denali was expressing a similar sort of muttered irritation as he did when this Friar was oblivious to him being quietly killed and abandoned in downtown Durham at the back of Red Platoon during the 10/17-18 GORUCK. #teamleaderfail But that’s another story.

Arriving at 510 proved too close a call for setting out orange cones with burpee #s on the course. Nevertheless, at 532, Tuck emerges from the fenced off “No Entry Allowed” trail with a grin. And the 10/22 installment of the Judge is underway. Do what the cones tell you to do.

THE THANG:

Multiples of Fives, starting between the two large sculptures above the amphitheater:

  • Station 1 Amphitheater Stage Front: 5 Burpees
  • Station 2 Top of the Grassy Knoll: 10 Burpees

  • Station 4 Bottom of BeltlineBridgeHill: 20 Burpees
  • Station 5 Top of BeltlineBridgeHill at Bridge: 25 Burpees

[Then Reverse the Course]

  • Station 4 Bottom of BeltlineBridgeHill: 20 Burpees
  • Station 3 Giant Rings: 15 Burpees
  • Station 2 Top of the Grassy Knoll: 10 Burpees
  • Station 1 Amphitheater Stage Front: 5 Burpees

Then back to Station 2 and through the course…

REPEATO till 0608, then return to Launch Point

Moleskin:

  • Red Card and Man Ram graciously ran the full course and collected the cones at the end, and again, YHC turned up late, having made the attempt to catch them. It was that kind of morning.
  • Turns out The Judge property is just a bit larger than this Friar recalled.

Announcements:

  • Manna – Every Thursday post-Judge, short Bible discussion led by Denali at Caribou down the road. You should come. #3rdFbonus
  • HH in Singlewide’s front yard

Prayers:

  • For family members with illness or relational struggles
  • For Red Card’s razor to be restored
  • We prayed shoulder to shoulder, praying for the man on your right, then Man Ram took us out

A privilege, men. Always.
