Pax of 7 for a chilly edition of Ricochet.
YHCs first Q(and post) at this site. Their are a bunch of different routes you could do from this spot, but I had hills on the brain.
I was a little uncertain of how long my routes would take, so we got going promptly at 5:30.
Here is what we did:
Headed down Cherokee along the park and hung a right on Fairview for a climb up to white oak rd. Took the long winding white oak rd(1.7 miles) all the way up/down to Lassiter mill, right on Lassiter and ran into aldert root school into the parking lot. I clocked this route right at 2.42 miles.
5 minutes AMRAP of the following:
WW2 X 15
Knee outs X 15
LBC X 15
5 minutes of the following
Chill cut X 15 in cadence
6″ hold X 15 in cadence
Once we finished the above core work, we proceeded all the way up St. Mary’s(heck of a climb), took a left on Anderson dr, and then a right on hazelwood all the way down to Fallon Park. Stayed right on Reaves at the fork, for another climb up to whittaker mill. Crossed whittaker, took a right on Aycock and did our last leg to Roanoke Park. I clocked this route right at 2.43 miles.
NAKED MOLESKIN:
-BRR info meeting tonight at Lynwood brewery. 7:30pm
-No prayer requests
-Thank you Plebe for taking us out with a solid word
-I really enjoyed this workout and the concept. I felt we all ran a good pace around 20 min for each route. Felt good to mix in some hill work as well to raise the heart rate. Thanks for letting me lead at this site and I definitely want to start including this into the mix.
