Fifteen PAX gathered in the very comfortable gloom (70 degrees) of a Labor Day morning for a campus tour escorted by Shooter.
Warmup: SSH x 20, IW x 10, prisoner squats x 10, arm circles x 10 forward and backward, Carolina dry docks x 10, merkins x 10.
Run from Fetzer track, up stadium steps to Raleigh Road and front steps of Woollen Gym. Half of the group does a dozen derkins, other half prisoner squats. Switch and repeat.
Run to The Pit, more derkins and squats plus five burpees.
Run to Wilson Library. A dozen dips on the stone wall, then more derkins and squats plus five burpees. Jump over stone wall, bear crawl 25 yards up the grass, walking lunge back and repeat.
Run to Carroll Hall. Derkins and squats.
Run to South Building. Five burpees, then more derkins and squats.
Circle around the building to the Old Well, circle up around the Well in plank position. Walking merkins counter-clockwise one quarter around the Well (appr. nine). Thirty-second low-plank hold, then Parker-Peters and plank-jacks (12 each). Walking merkins back clockwise, more plank holds, Parker-Peters and plank-jacks.
And more burpees. YHC asked Adolphus how many. “Seventeen,” he responded for no apparent good reason. Much bitching and moaning ensued but we got ‘em done.
Run to Forest Theatre. Two sets of step-ups on the stone seats with squats on each row.
Run back to Fetzer, circle up in near corner of IM fields. LBCs x 15, low-plank hold x 30 seconds. Run to far corner, more core and planks. Return to track on Fetzer for cool down.
