A bright morning of organically organized citizen-exercisers. Welcome to Day 3 of the Joe Cocker Great Americans Tour Brought to You by the Five Points Triple (the “JCGATBYFPT”). Today commemorates the birthday of Joe Cocker’s Great, Great, Great, Step-Great, Great, by Marriage, Uncle, Thomas Jefferson.
Warm Up: Wolf Run 800 around Washington Street. Munson immediately tipped a forty to its memory.
Stone Circle: Side Shuffle Hop; Imperial Walkers, Good Mornings, Windmills.
Down to the area behind the backstop; circle up
Here we would have done 20 burpees but the Crown Agent intervened, reading a proclamation by F3 Corporate, that we would instead do 30 burpees. A fitness tax has been imposed. All of F3Land is on notice. We did 30 burpees.
Here we would have done 20 Mericans; Crown Agent had a proclamation on this too. It was 30.
Here we would have done 20 Star Jumps. Crown proclaimed 30.
Dog Leg to the Left
Run to Stone Circle; bear across hot lava field; 5 jump ups; 10 incline Mericans; 5 jump ups; 10 incline Mericans; run to tree; bear crawl to lamp post; 5 single-leg burpees on each leg. Return to Backstop. Repeato 4 times (increase 10 incline Mericans to 15 Mericans on Phases 2-4).
At each return, we again tried to weave in a reasonable stationary series; squat jumps; jumping lunges; in each instance, the Crown Agent (except for when a TBQ arose) interjected with yet another proclamation imposing a baseless fitness tax on the Pax assembled.
Finally, once and for all, the Crown Agent sought to unilaterally impose an additional series that would have wreaked havoc on the Pax throughout the country side. He refused entreaties to meet with the King. He refused to moderate the demands of such an unreasonable Fitness Tax. YHC interceded and led a revolt by returning the Pax assembled to near the launch site to complete one final reasonable series of 10 Star Jumps.
