16 PAX decided to start the week the right way by posting to A-Team. As a bonus, they got to help YHC celebrate 4 decades on the #BigBall. Moving a little slowly from last night’s “Steak & Cake”, YHC was OK with waiting a bit for a late arrival to tie his shoes. Okay, just one of his shoes. He can catch up.
Warm-up:
- Jog two circles around the parking lot island, just to make the PAX think we’d be running all morning. Circle up and..
- 10x Good morning
- 10x Windmill
- 10x Imperial Walker
- 40x SSH – it didn’t take long for the PAX to figure out what was up.
Thang:
- Mosey to picnic shelter and grab some bench.
- 10x alternatingleftrightstepup
- 10x Irkin
- 10x Box jump OYO
- 10x Derkin
- Repeato for a total of 40 each. And one to grow on ‘cuz YHC was in the zone. Or zoned out.
- Fellowship pace out to lake trail (more skepticism from the PAX). Head to the right to the big hill. Which we must go over. Get it?
- Bear crawl up hill to first power line pole. #popular
- Plank for the PAX. Recover on the jog to the front parking lot.
- Paint the lines in the front lot. That was a lot of lines. Burt thinks it might be a record. He takes an action to research and get back to us. #notholdingmybreath
- Head to soccer field for some four corners. Which didn’t really have corners today but we used our imaginations.
- Corner exercises, 10 each: merkins; LBCs; plank jacks; sumo jumps.
- On the side lines, lunge walk. On the touch lines, sprint.
- Repeato with side line of: high knees; karaoke; backwards run. How about that, 40 reps of each.
- Balls to the wall, 20 count, then sprint across field and back. Repeato but do it head-rush style going right from wall to sprint.
- Indian run back to starting parking lot.
Not much time for Mary:
- 20x WW2 sit-ups
- 40x American Hammer, YHC’s favorite
A plethora of 1stF announcements – many mentioned in newsletter over the weekend. 2ndF Thursday @ Pharmacy which YHC will be sorry to miss. Turn out and show some support for Callahan who is organizing and could use some 2ndF.
Prayers for Wonderbread’s father. Others unmentioned I’m sure. YHC took us out.

The combination of “40” and “Q” reminds me of college, when a buddy had the fantastic idea to host a “40-Q” party, where the menu consisted of burgers made with summer-camp-cafeteria-grade meat and Olde English “800” #seemedlikeagoodidea. I’m happy to have traded up into more wholesome activities and quaffables.
