Once again YHC is slow to get the BB up…at least it was only 6 days late this time…
It’s that time of year when everything is getting green, the dawn comes a bit earlier every day, and the weather is beautiful. This is when its very easy to understand why F3 does everything in the great outdoors! Today was another one of those “life is great!” days, and we even had a couple FNGs to make it better.
Warmup:
SSH x 20
Merkins x 10
Windmills x 10
The Thang:
Mosey down the hill and across the field to our favorite big hill, Paschal #4. Momentary plankorama by PAX when FNG Shakespeare finds a hole in the field and tweaks his ankle. Resume mosey when all clear is given.
Pause at the top of #4 for merkin clock. 12 merkins at 12, 3, 6, and 9 positions.
Descend to the bottom of #4 and partner up. Partner 1 will do 10 traveling burpees while partner 2 does lunge walk, switch. Repeat this process until we reach the top of #4. YHC thought the lunge walks would be a good rest, YHC was wrong… Plank at top until everyone arrives. Jog back to the bottom, rinse and repeat with squat hold at top.
Mosey through trees to the soccer field for some early Mary interspersed with 200 yard sprints.
WWII situps x 25, sprint to end of field and back
American Hammers x 25, sprint
Freddie Mercury x 25, sprint
LBC x 25, sprint
Mosey back to shovel flag where Patina tries to remove/hide the equipment for our next endeavor, chariot races!
Get with your partner, grab a fat bicycle inner-tube (fat ones are less likely to snap), place it around the waist of partner 1 while partner 2 holds on. Partner 1 sprints to other end of field while partner 2 provides resistance. Flapjack back to shovel flag.
Repeato 3 more times.
Drop the tubes and head to the wall.
People’s Chair x 45 with arms down, out front, and overhead
Wall plank x 30 (for YHCs shoulder), plank position with feet against the wall, about a foot off the ground.
Repeato
Short Mary:
Box Cutters x 25
Flutters x 25
COT:
Prayers for Patina’s 11 year old nephew Kyle (sp?) who has been suffering multiple strokes. Keep the whole family in your thoughts/prayers.
Moleskin:
It was great to have a couple FNGs at the Agoge training grounds. Strong work by Sergeant Friday and Shakespeare, they pushed through everything YHC threw at them!
A big “Welcome Back Cotter” to Scrolls. We’ve missed you brother and hope to see you again soon whenever the M doesn’t have the early shift.
1 year Agoge anniversary on June 1st! Come join us!
