9 brave pax posted for Thin Blue Line this morning. YHC was feeling particularly old this morning already due to a recent birthday, and then Amphibious’s 2.0 came bounding out of the car. Lots of young blood energy there, and wearing shorts and a tee-shirt to boot. Several pax sheepishly returned their sweatshirts to their cars…and we’re off!
Doogie-style warm up with high knees, butt kickers, karaoke, and backward versions of these. Then some LBACs, good mornings, windmills, skydivers, and Freddy Mercurys. The last two were designed to get the soaking out of the way early. And there was much rejoicing.
Since there have been nearly 40 days and nights of rain, YHC decided to load the ark with some bear crawls, gorilla walks, and dragon walks. There were some sprints and high and low planks mixed in, too. In the midst of this, a puddle – or maybe a small lake – kept calling YHC’s name. This seemed like a great opportunity for a cackalacky choo choo to YHC. There was much rejoicing, and some angry splashes…
YHC decided to win back some approval with a rousing merkin pyramid up to 10. Much to Scuba Steve’s dismay we counted it on back down again.
Hand off to Coco…
Jog to the PAINground for a half-murph. 50 pull-ups, 100 merkins, 150 air squats. Then a mile run which was finished with a headfirst Pete Rose style slide into home by Bushwood and Scuba Steve. Again, much rejoicing…
